Full-Time Digital Marketing Specialist

Job Description

The Client Experience Office (CXO) aims to provide a delightful and holistic “One Sun Life” experience to Clients as we help them achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. We design and execute clear, compelling and caring journeys to help Clients navigate some of the most important moments of their lives.

Through personalized, proactive and relevant conte​nt, we act on a deep understanding of Client needs on a multitude of communication channels – so we can be there for Clients when and where they need us.

 

The Digital Marketing Specialist will work closely with the marketing and sales leadership teams to deliver marketing and communications initiatives to meet our Client-focused objectives and drive business results. You will be collaborating closely with an exciting start-up – Prospr by Sun Life – that is providing hybrid advice to our Clients. You will deliver new digital marketing programs, support marketing operations and identify process efficiencies to enable faster speed to market.  You will be liaising with multiple stakeholders within Business, Legal, Compliance to successfully produce modern, relevant and high-quality marketing materials on schedule.

 

What will you do?

  • Support the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives for Prospr by Sun Life team, including digital display, paid search, paid social, online affiliate, external partnerships and e-mail channels
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal/external stakeholders – including Creative Services, Legal, Compliance, etc. – to launch new programs effectively
  • Manage the end-to-end content review and translations processes to successfully deliver all initiatives  – including translation, branding, legal and compliance
  • Proofread copy and images to co-ordinate final sign-off on all key initiatives
  • Manage marketing budget and forecasts to ensure spending is managed properly to achieve business growth objectives
  • Track, report, and analyze metrics of key digital tactics to inform campaign strategies
  • Build and execute on A/B testing strategies to inform campaign strategies through tools like adobe target
  • Partner with team to test new channels and technology to drive innovation and Client acquisition
  • Document and maintain up-to-date processes and internal best practices
  • Work closely with agencies and in-house teams to optimize marketing initiatives to drive customer experience and acquisition

 

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bilingualism (English & French) is required in Quebec: immediate manager is a unilingual Anglophone outside Quebec and support tasks for an English-speaking team outside Quebec
  • Digital Marketing – demonstrated experience in delivering direct to consumer digital marketing programs (social media, paid search, affiliate marketing, etc.)
  • Campaign Execution – demonstrated experience in managing performance-based digital marketing campaigns
  • Analytical Mindset – ability to draw insights from data to inform future campaign design
  • Organizational Skills – proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver against required timelines and budget
  • Relationship Management – proven ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders up, down and across the organization
  • Business Curiosity – Comfort seeking new approaches to solving business problems and challenging the status quo to improve the Client experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), with superb attention to detail in reviewing marketing materials
  • Copywriting – experience in, and ability to, create persuasive digital direct-to-Client communications including paid search copy, social media advertising, an asset
  • Creative thinker
  • Ability to work independently and closely with other team members across the organization
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations

 

Nice to have:

  • Degree or certificate in marketing or communications
  • 2-5 years digital marketing experience
  • Agile marketing/development experience
  • Experience with marketing campaign/project management
  • Experience with paid search and social media campaigns
  • Experience with web analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics)
  • Experience with CRM tools and marketing technologies
  • Sound understanding of direct response marketing and conversion rate optimization

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
