About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Full Stack Application Developer (Java/Angular) (3 to 5 years of recognized professional experience with Java) for our growing team!

What you’ll do here :

• Provide proactive and reactive support for production systems to ensure their functionality.
• Resolve incidents, problem tickets and defects by proposing creative solutions, solving complex problems and performing programming, debugging and testing for a wide variety of systems.
• Use creativity and find new ways to improve our services and user experiences. Support a variety of projects and improvements.
• Responsible for team tasks and deliverables. Ensure that open incident files are updated regularly and that information is accurate and up to date.
• Create and update maintenance procedures and documents. Support the deployment of production systems to ensure their functionality.
• Ensure the optimization of systems and verify their compliance with quality standards through analysis and formulation of creative suggestions to improve services and user experiences.
• Make recommendations and participate in improving systems development and maintenance processes

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or other related disciplines (mathematics, actuarial science, data), or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Extensive experience in analysis and object-oriented design and good understanding of UX design principles
• Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 2+, HTML, CSS.
• Experience building server-side applications using Java 8+, SpringBoot, and building web services or APIs using REST (and SOAP).
• Experience with relational databases, such as Oracle 12+, PL/SQL and preferably NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch.
• 3 to 5 years of development experience
• No work experience in Canada required, but you must have authorization to work in Canada.
• Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
